CVS invasion of privacy

I was shocked when I went to my local CVS in Burbank, California to pick up a prescription. Inside, at the pharmacy, I stood in line and waited my turn. I noticed a TV monitor mounted from the ceiling behind the counter that said "recording in progress." This was the first time I have ever seen this. I watched as the camera took videos of every customer picking up their prescriptions at the counter. What? We're being recorded? I was recorded picking up my own prescription. WHY was I videotaped? WHY was I under surveillance?

I felt that this was an invasion of privacy. CVS now takes a video of your face whenever you pick up your prescriptions?

All law-abiding residents now get their face surveilled at the CVS pharmacy pick-up counter, to maybe stop the few criminals who might show up and get someone else's drugs, to use or sell? WTF?
