Let's talk a bit about, ugh, death. Yes, really. Here's what I dreamt about re death.
Death. There's good news and bad news.
Yes, death is good news. And bad news. The good news is that when you're dead you no longer keep get older and more frail. You are no longer in any pain. When you're dead you no longer worry, about anything. You no longer have to worry about paying the bills. You don't have to be concerned about what you look like or how much you weigh. You are no longer concerned about who likes you and who doesn't. Or who to vote for. Or how many social media followers you have. It no longer matters what or where you eat, because dead people don't eat. Or breathe polluted air. When a person is dead they no longer feel bad or depressed or angry or hurt or have any bad emotions, because they will have NO emotions.
Yes, there's plenty of good news re death. Death is like a permanent vacation. You have no worries.
Yes, death also has bad news. Live is short, maybe 100 years. Some, or much, of it can be lousy. When dead you no longer feel love. You no longer physically have a body and can't hug or be hugged. You no longer have friends and family. They still have y-o-u, in memories, but you no longer can have or hold the people you care about, who care about you. You no longer have sex. OK, if you're really old, or sick, maybe when alive you already don't have sex. You no longer have the beauty of Nature to enjoy. No more sunrises and sunsets. Or birds chirping. You no longer have 5 senses; sight, smell, hearing, touch or taste.
Death is the absence of life. In death there is NOTHING. The Great Void. Life is over. Forever, unless you believe in reincarnation. When you are dead you are done. With everything that's good or beautiful. That's the bad news. Don't be depressed. Read on.
Yes, in death there is good news and bad news. Here's what to do about it. LIVE. Live your life, as best you can. Keep going. Every day. Be grateful for being alive. Being alive means you have a CHANCE, a chance to be happy. A chance for a miracle. And, most of all, don't give up. Don't die, don't perish BEFORE THE MIRACLE HAPPENS.
