Goodbye Newsmax

On June 30, 2026 as usual I went online to newsmax.com, I scrolled through the news stories until I found one that was interesting to me. it was about the Supreme Court rejecting Trump's idea to remove automatic Birthright Citizenship. I clicked on it and read through the article. It was an article from AP (Associated Press). My opinion was that the birthright amendment to the Constitution was not applicable to Chinese women who came here pregnant, gave birth, and their child was automatically a U.S. citizen, actually had dual citizenship, Chinese and American.

I logged in to Newsmax, I wanted to make a comment to that effect at the end of the article, as usual. There was no reader comment section. Huh? There must be a mistake. I always could make a comment on news articles on Newsmax and have made hundreds, or thousands, of comments over the years. Now, suddenly I could not make my comment? Suddenly, I had no voice on Newsmax?

I checked the other articles. Same thing. No reader comment section. This could not be! It must be a technical error or something. I sent this email to Newsmax:

Your AP lead article re Supreme Court upholding birthright citizenship has no reader comment section. I, and millions of other lifelong Americans, want to make a comment!

Later that day I received this response:

"We've retired the commenting feature on Newsmax.com and are encouraging our audience to join the conversation across our rapidly growing social media communities, where more than 25 million followers engage with Newsmax every day"

Seriously? I should switch to social media? I HATE social media!

I sent Newsmax this response:

"Wow. OK, that being the case I will now stop using Newsmax.com forever and will continue with FoxNews.com and NYPost.com"

Boycott Newsmax!
